Matwork Pilates Class
Mat Pilates is a low-impact exercise method performed on a mat, focusing on core stability, strength, flexibility and body alignment. It involves controlled movements and precise postures to enhance overall fitness and posture.
In Mat Pilates, you'll perform various exercises designed to improve core strength, balance and flexibility. Common exercises include:
Mat Pilates is performed on the floor with no equipment, focusing on bodyweight exercises. It’s ideal for building a strong foundation in core strength and flexibility and is easily accessible for beginners.
Reformer Pilates uses a specialised machine with springs and a sliding carriage, providing resistance and support for a more dynamic workout. It allows for a wider range of movements and is often used for rehabilitation or advanced exercises.
Consistent practice can enhance your core strength, improve posture, increase flexibility and boost overall mobility. It’s suitable for all fitness levels and offers a gentle yet effective approach to fitness.
Please note that a medical certificate may be required to participate in this activity.
When: Fridays, 7:30am - 8:30am
(Centre closed on public holidays)
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class starts. No entry after commencement for safety reasons.
What to bring: water bottle, yoga mat, non-slip socks & wear suitable clothing
