Introducing our dedicated Board Members, a group of industry professionals committed to steering our organisation towards success.

Anne Copeland

Anne has dedicated her life to the field of nursing. She started her journey by completing nursing training as registered nurse, midwife and a child health nurse, and went on to hold various management and leadership roles in public and private acute hospitals, as well as in aged care.Anne has served on many Boards including as Chair of the Queensland Nursing Council from 2005 – 2010 and Chair of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia from 2009 – 2013.

Aside from her impressive professional achievements, Anne is an active member of the community and has been a member of Burnie Brae since 2017. She takes great pleasure in contributing to an organisation that’s committed to providing community work. Anne is also a talented artist who loves painting and pottery, and teaches watercolour art classes. On the weekend you’ll often find her as the pillion passenger on her partner’s motorbike.

Carolyn Robinson

Carolyn's passion for nursing has led her to make a significant contribution to the nursing field and community. She is a registered nurse with over 50 years of experience in various positions across acute care, community health, and university settings. Her expertise and contributions to the nursing profession have been recognised with a Vice Chancellors Award from QUT, and she is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Nursing, Australia. Carolyn’s love of giving back to the community is obvious with her involvement in several schools, churches, and local organisations.

Carolyn saw joining the board of Burnie Brae as a chance to make meaningful connections during her retirement, in the local area she loves and has called home her whole life. She adores spending time with her family, and her much loved grandchildren – who keep her updated on the latest trends and conventions.

Belinda Llamas

Belinda has an extensive background in risk management, work health and safety, human resources and business management across various industries over the last 20 years. Passionate about helping to maintain systems, simplifying compliance, growth and long-term planning, she revels in supporting providers on their journey to delivering exceptional client services.

Recognised by WorkSafe Queensland for her contribution to culture and safety during her time in the manufacturing sector, Belinda recognises the importance of a having a supportive leadership team and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others to help build confidence and character.

Having been a part of a challenging journey for her late Grandma, Belinda is determined to see better support in our communities for our older generations. With a young and active family ‘out in the sticks’, and a soft-spot for arts and crafts, she is excited to be joining the Burnie Brae team.

Belinda Sutherland

Belinda Sutherland is an experienced allied health professional and leader after qualifying as an occupational therapist in 2000 and having completed university studies related to health management. Belinda’s work history has included working across acute, rehabilitation and community settings both in Australia and overseas.

Belinda commenced her career as a solo rural generalist in Northwest Qld, which gave her a passion for regional and remote practice. She then worked across senior roles in both Qld in the UK in orthopaedics, trauma, rehabilitation, post-acute and community care. Following this Belinda moved from senior clinical roles into multidisciplinary allied health management roles. Belinda’s high level of clinical and operational leadership skills saw her manage teams in child development and adult community care and completed projects in clinical education and health services planning.

With the expansion of the NDIS Belinda established two interventional brands for aged care and disability, Belinda was one of the first allied health leaders in Qld in a private setting in 2017 and 2018 to work within a NDIS framework during scheme rollout. During her career Belinda has been heavily involved with her profession, the allied health community and clinical education. Belinda has been a board member and volunteer of OT Qld, OT Practice Education Collaborative and an advisory contributor at universities.

Steven O'Donoghue

Steven O'Donoghue is a highly accomplished Executive Leader and Business Professional with over 20 years’ experience in running both small and large teams within the Financial Services Industry. Steven’s experiences cover senior leadership, financial planning, strategy, superannuation, sales and marketing, risk, compliance and governance, business transformation, project management and performance management. Outside of Financial Services, Steven co-owns and manages a growing podiatry practice Stepping Out Podiatry on the Sunshine Coast.

Steven was attracted to Burnie Brae as a way to use his experiences and knowledge to give back to the community and help Burnie Brae further improve the quality of lives for people in the community.

Steven holds a Masters of Business Administration, a Masters of Applied Finance, is a Certified Financial Planner and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Outside of work and volunteer work Steven is busy spending time with his wife, 12 year daughter, the families pets, or either watching AFL, playing tennis, fishing or finding his miss hit golf balls.
