What is Square Dancing?
Square dancing is a lively and social dance form where four couples, arranged in a square, perform choreographed movements and patterns guided by a caller. It combines rhythm, coordination and group interaction, all set to upbeat, lively music.
How to Square Dance
Join a group of eight dancers, follow the caller’s directions, and dive into a series of engaging movements and patterns. Whether you’re spinning, twirling, or stepping in sync, square dancing is all about having fun and enjoying the rhythm.

When: Fridays 1:30pm - 3:30pm - Beginners arrive at 1:30pm
(Centre closed on public holidays)
Location: Burnie Brae Hall - 60 Kuran St, Chermside
What to bring: Water bottle, wear suitable clothing and bring a plate of food to enjoy afternoon together after class.
Cost: Members $15.00 - pay on entry
