We recently had the pleasure of joining our superstar Support Worker, Danny, on a shopping outing with Richard, one of our cherished clients. After finishing their grocery shop, they enjoyed a relaxing cuppa at a local café before heading back to Richard's home.

As they strolled through the garden paths, Richard proudly showed us his flourishing fruit trees and the towering shade tree under which he loves to sit and watch the world go by.

Richard retired at 70 from his job as a weighbridge attendant in the Meatworks. After the passing of his wife, he found himself in need of some assistance with household tasks like cooking and cleaning.

That's where Burnie Brae came in, providing the support Richard needed to maintain his independence and continue living in his cherished home.

Burnie Brae provides Richard with weekly shopping trips to pick up his precooked meals and other essential items. During these outings, Danny and Richard share stories and laughter, making the experience enjoyable and meaningful.

Richard also receives regular domestic cleaning services, ensuring his home remains tidy and comfortable. These services are funded through his Home Care Package, which has been a lifeline for Richard.

With the support he receives, Richard can focus on the things he loves most and stay in his beloved home, surrounded by the memories and comforts he holds dear. He spends his days tending to his beautiful gardens and spending quality time with his family.
