Daily tasks

Cleaning & Household Tasks

Assistance with housework tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, as well as garden and home maintenance and repairs to ensure your home remains safe and accessible.
Personal care

Personal Care

Support with personal care tasks, including bathing, showering and toileting. We also help with dressing, getting in and out of bed, washing, hair drying, grooming and medication reminders.
Social support

Socialising & Companionship

Meaningful companionship through flexible in-home respite with a carer for one-on-one support, as well as access to our centre-based day respite for activities and outings.
Transport

Transport & Outings

Local, personalised and accessible car, van and bus transport for community outings, shopping, appointments and social gatherings, providing door-to-door service and baggage assistance.
Health wellness

Allied Health & Wellbeing

Clinical care provided by qualified professionals including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology and Massage Therapy, as well as by medication management and basic wound care by Burnie Brae's Registered Nurses.

What funding is available?

Navigating funding options for care can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re here to guide you through the process and help you find the best solution for your needs.

Burnie Brae is an approved provider for government programs designed to support individuals in their home care journey:

  • Home Assist Secure: Support to keep your home safe and accessible. It provides assistance with home modifications, minor repairs and safety assessments.
  • Commonwealth Home Support Program: Entry-level services for those needing lower levels of support. It provides a range of services to help you maintain your independence, including allied health services, transport and social support.
  • Home Care Packages: Higher-level, comprehensive support to live independently including transport, personal care, social support, clinical care, allied health and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Private Funding: You can also choose to privately fund your care, offering greater flexibility in selecting services without funding caps. Whether you need specific assistance or more frequent care, private funding can be tailored to your preferences.
