About Me
I’m celebrating 9 years at Burnie Brae this year. I began in 2016 as a Qualified Support Worker, moved into the Home Care Package Team as a Care Coordinator and then was promoted to Senior HCP Care Coordinator. I hold a Certificate IV in Ageing Support. Outside of work, I love camping and spending time with my family and friends.
My Journey into Aged Care
Growing up, I watched my nana care for her mother without much external support, and that gave me early insight into the importance of proper care and assistance for the aging population. This experience has fueled my passion for aged care, and for the past 9 years, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting clients.
Why I Love What I Do
Hearing about our client's wins, challenges and how those experiences shaped who they are today is so fascinating. The appreciation and gratitude from clients motivate me to keep pushing forward in this rewarding field.
Fun fact: My great grandmother lived to 103 with the support of carers and coordinators, which just adds to my passion for what I do!
